Im falling for a guy who has a reputation for being a player?

theres just something about him that i really like...he's so kind to me, a gentleman, romantic, attentive..everything i want in a guy. i really wanna be with him, but im overly cautious cause i dont wanna get gurt in the long run. what should i do?
